DMCA Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
AI Video Chat (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website ai-videochat.video (the “Service”). This Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy outlines the procedures we follow regarding claims of copyright infringement that may occur on or through our Service. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the DMCA, Title 17 of the United States Code, Section 512, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our Service that are reported to our designated copyright agent identified below.
This DMCA Policy applies to all content hosted on, transmitted through, or otherwise made available via our Service, including but not limited to user-generated content, AI-generated outputs, video chat recordings, text communications, images, audio files, and any other materials that may be subject to copyright protection. We have adopted this policy to comply with the provisions of the DMCA and to protect both the rights of copyright owners and the legitimate interests of our users.
If you believe that content available on or through our Service infringes one or more of your copyrights, please submit a notification of claimed infringement as described below. Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material and, in appropriate circumstances, terminating the accounts of repeat infringers. We encourage all parties to seek resolution of disputes regarding intellectual property rights before resorting to formal DMCA procedures wherever possible.
1. Introduction
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA) is a United States copyright law that provides a framework for addressing claims of copyright infringement on online platforms and services. The DMCA establishes a notice-and-takedown procedure that allows copyright owners to notify online service providers of alleged infringement and request the removal of infringing content. This policy describes how AI Video Chat implements these procedures in connection with content available on or through our Service at ai-videochat.video.
At AI Video Chat, we take copyright protection seriously and are committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of all content creators, artists, developers, and rights holders. Our platform facilitates AI-powered video chat experiences, and while we strive to ensure that all content generated through and displayed on our Service complies with applicable copyright laws, we acknowledge that instances of infringement may occur due to the nature of user-generated and AI-generated content.
This policy is designed to provide clear guidance to both copyright owners seeking to protect their works and users who may be subject to infringement claims. We aim to balance the rights of copyright holders with the legitimate interests of our users, including the right to use content that falls within the scope of fair use or that is otherwise lawfully available. We believe that a transparent and well-documented process serves the interests of all parties involved.
Our compliance with the DMCA is part of our broader commitment to legal compliance and ethical business practices. We maintain this policy in accordance with the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512, which establishes the safe harbor provisions that protect online service providers from liability for the infringing activities of their users, provided that certain conditions are met. This policy outlines those conditions and describes the steps we take to meet them.
We encourage all users of our Service to familiarize themselves with this DMCA Policy and to understand their rights and obligations under copyright law. Whether you are a content creator concerned about the unauthorized use of your work or a user who has received a DMCA notice, this policy provides the information you need to navigate the process effectively. If you have questions about this policy or about copyright issues in general, we encourage you to seek qualified legal counsel.
It is important to note that while the DMCA is a United States federal law, AI Video Chat serves users in multiple jurisdictions around the world. We will make reasonable efforts to comply with applicable copyright laws in all jurisdictions where our Service is available, including but not limited to the European Union Copyright Directive, the Canadian Copyright Modernization Act, and other relevant international copyright frameworks. However, the procedures outlined in this policy are based primarily on the requirements of the DMCA.
2. Copyright Infringement Policy
AI Video Chat maintains a strict policy against copyright infringement on our Service. We prohibit users from uploading, transmitting, sharing, or otherwise making available any content that infringes upon the copyrights of third parties. This prohibition extends to all forms of content that may appear on our platform, including but not limited to profile images, video chat backgrounds, shared media files, text content, audio recordings, and any other materials that may be protected by copyright law.
Our copyright infringement policy applies equally to all users of our Service, regardless of their subscription level, account age, or other factors. We do not distinguish between paying and non-paying users when it comes to enforcing our copyright policies. All users are expected to comply with applicable copyright laws and to respect the intellectual property rights of others. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the removal of content, the suspension or termination of accounts, and potential legal liability.
When we receive a valid notification of claimed infringement in accordance with the DMCA, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We will also make reasonable efforts to notify the user who uploaded or created the content in question, providing them with information about the claim and their rights under the DMCA, including the right to file a counter-notification if they believe the takedown was made in error or was based on misidentification of the material.
In determining whether material on our Service constitutes copyright infringement, we rely on the representations made in DMCA notices submitted by copyright owners or their authorized agents. We do not independently evaluate the merits of infringement claims unless the circumstances clearly indicate that a notice is invalid or has been submitted in bad faith. However, we reserve the right to refuse to act on a notice that we believe is deficient, incomplete, or abusive.
We recognize that not all uses of copyrighted material constitute infringement. The doctrine of fair use, codified in 17 U.S.C. § 107, permits certain uses of copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright owner, including uses for purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. We encourage copyright owners to consider whether a particular use may qualify as fair use before submitting a DMCA notice, and we encourage users to be aware of the limitations of the fair use defense.
Our copyright infringement policy is enforced through a combination of automated systems and human review. We employ content identification technology to detect potentially infringing material, and our trust and safety team reviews DMCA notices and counter-notifications to ensure compliance with the law. We continuously update our systems and procedures to improve our ability to detect and respond to copyright infringement on our Service.
We also cooperate with copyright owners and industry organizations to prevent infringement before it occurs. We participate in voluntary initiatives designed to reduce online piracy and support the legitimate distribution of copyrighted content. We believe that collaboration between service providers and rights holders is essential to maintaining a healthy digital ecosystem that respects intellectual property rights while fostering innovation and creativity.
3. Filing a DMCA Complaint
If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent of a copyright owner, and you believe that content available on or through our Service at ai-videochat.video infringes one or more of your copyrights, you may submit a written notification of claimed infringement (“DMCA Notice”) to our designated DMCA agent. Your DMCA Notice must comply with the requirements set forth in 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) and must include the specific information described in Section 4 of this policy.
To file a DMCA complaint, you should prepare a written notice that includes all of the required elements described in the following section and submit it to our designated DMCA agent using the contact information provided in Section 10 of this policy. You may submit your notice via email, regular mail, or any other method that provides written documentation of your claim. We recommend submitting notices via email for the fastest response time.
Before submitting a DMCA Notice, we strongly encourage you to consider whether the use of your copyrighted material on our Service constitutes fair use or is otherwise authorized by law. Filing a DMCA Notice that contains materially false statements may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). You should consult with a qualified attorney if you are unsure whether a particular use of your work constitutes infringement.
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA Notice, we will process your claim in a timely manner. Our standard processing time is five (5) to ten (10) business days from the date of receipt, although we may act more quickly in cases involving clear and egregious infringement. We will notify you via email when we have taken action on your notice, including information about the specific actions taken and any relevant next steps.
If your DMCA Notice is incomplete or does not substantially comply with the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), we will make reasonable efforts to contact you to request additional information or clarification. However, we are not obligated to take action on a notice that does not meet the statutory requirements. We reserve the right to reject notices that are clearly frivolous, abusive, or submitted in bad faith.
We maintain records of all DMCA Notices received and actions taken in response. These records are kept for a minimum of five (5) years and may be disclosed in connection with legal proceedings or as otherwise required by law. We may also share aggregated, anonymized data about the DMCA notices we receive with industry organizations, academic researchers, and other parties for purposes of studying copyright enforcement trends and improving our processes.
In addition to the formal DMCA process, we offer an informal dispute resolution mechanism for copyright-related issues. If you believe that your copyrighted material is being used without authorization on our Service, you may contact us at support@ai-videochat.video to discuss the matter before filing a formal DMCA Notice. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue informally and expeditiously, although informal resolution is not a substitute for the formal DMCA process.
4. Required Information for Notices
A valid DMCA Notice must include the following information, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3): (a) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. Electronic signatures may include a typed name preceded by “/s/” or a scanned image of a handwritten signature. (b) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
(c) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material. This should include the specific URL or URLs where the allegedly infringing material appears on our Service. General statements such as “all of my content on your site” are not sufficient; you must identify each specific item of content that you believe infringes your copyright.
(d) Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address at which the complaining party may be contacted. Providing an email address is strongly recommended, as it allows for the most efficient communication regarding your notice. (e) A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
(f) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. This statement carries significant legal weight, and you should ensure that all information provided in your notice is truthful and accurate before including this declaration. Making false statements under penalty of perjury may result in civil and criminal liability.
Failure to include any of the required elements described above may result in your DMCA Notice being deemed deficient and may delay or prevent us from taking action. We strongly recommend that you review the requirements carefully before submitting your notice and that you consult with a qualified attorney if you have any questions about the information required. Incomplete notices will be returned to the sender with a request for additional information.
In addition to the statutory requirements described above, we request that you include the following supplementary information in your DMCA Notice to help us process your claim more efficiently: (a) A description of the copyrighted work, including the date it was created or first published. (b) Any registration numbers associated with the copyrighted work, if applicable. (c) A brief explanation of how the allegedly infringing material relates to your copyrighted work. (d) Any previous correspondence with the user who uploaded the allegedly infringing material, if applicable.
5. Counter-Notification Process
If you are a user of our Service and you believe that content you uploaded or created has been removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material, you may submit a written counter-notification to our designated DMCA agent in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). The counter-notification process is an important safeguard that protects the rights of users who believe they have been wrongly accused of copyright infringement.
A valid counter-notification must include the following information: (a) Your physical or electronic signature. (b) Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled. (c) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
(d) Your name, address, and telephone number. (e) A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which AI Video Chat may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA Notice or an agent of such person.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will promptly forward a copy to the original complaining party and inform them that we may replace the removed material or cease disabling access to it within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days. If the original complaining party does not file a court action seeking to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material on our Service within that period, we will restore the material or cease disabling access to it.
We strongly recommend that you consult with a qualified attorney before submitting a counter-notification. The counter-notification process involves making statements under penalty of perjury and consenting to the jurisdiction of federal courts, which may have significant legal implications. An attorney can help you evaluate the merits of your case and ensure that your counter-notification is properly prepared and submitted.
Please note that if you file a counter-notification, the original complaining party may file a lawsuit against you to prevent the restoration of the material. If this occurs, you may be required to defend yourself in court and may be liable for damages if the court determines that the material in question infringes the copyright of the complaining party. The counter-notification process is not a guarantee that your content will be permanently restored.
We maintain records of all counter-notifications received and the actions taken in response. These records are kept for a minimum of five (5) years and may be disclosed in connection with legal proceedings or as otherwise required by law. The filing of a counter-notification is a legal act with potential consequences, and you should carefully consider your position before proceeding.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and our commitment to protecting intellectual property rights, AI Video Chat maintains a policy for the termination, in appropriate circumstances, of users who are repeat infringers of copyright. A “repeat infringer” is a user who has been the subject of more than one valid DMCA Notice relating to material posted on or through our Service. This policy is an essential component of our eligibility for the safe harbor protections provided by 17 U.S.C. § 512.
We track the number of valid DMCA Notices received against each user account. When a user receives their first valid DMCA Notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and issue a formal warning to the user. The warning will inform the user of our repeat infringer policy and the potential consequences of continued infringement, including the possible termination of their account.
When a user receives a second valid DMCA Notice, we will again remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and issue a second warning. At this stage, we may also impose temporary restrictions on the user’s ability to upload or share content on our Service. These restrictions are intended to prevent further infringement while allowing the user to continue using other features of the Service.
When a user receives a third valid DMCA Notice, their account will be permanently terminated. This termination is final and cannot be appealed through our standard support channels. The terminated user will be prohibited from creating new accounts on our Service, and we will take reasonable steps to prevent the creation of new accounts by the same individual, including blocking associated email addresses and IP addresses.
We reserve the right to terminate a user’s account after fewer than three valid DMCA Notices if the circumstances warrant more immediate action. Factors that may lead to accelerated termination include, but are not limited to: the scale of the infringing activity, the commercial nature of the infringement, the user’s apparent intent to infringe, the user’s response to previous warnings, and the harm caused to copyright owners.
The repeat infringer policy applies only to valid DMCA Notices. Counter-notifications that successfully result in the restoration of removed material will be taken into account when evaluating a user’s status as a repeat infringer. Specifically, if a counter-notification is filed and the original complaining party does not take further legal action within the prescribed period, the corresponding DMCA Notice may be removed from the user’s record for purposes of our repeat infringer policy.
7. Good Faith Requirement
The DMCA requires that all DMCA Notices include a statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. This good faith requirement is a critical safeguard against the abuse of the DMCA process. At AI Video Chat, we take the good faith requirement seriously and expect all parties to act honestly and in good faith when using the DMCA notice and counter-notification process.
A copyright owner or their authorized agent must genuinely believe that the identified material infringes their copyright before submitting a DMCA Notice. This means that the copyright owner should conduct a reasonable investigation to confirm that the material in question is indeed infringing and that the use does not fall within the scope of fair use or another legal exception. Submitting a DMCA Notice without conducting such an investigation may constitute a failure to act in good faith.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner or their licensee, or the service provider who is injured by such misrepresentation. This provision applies equally to DMCA Notices and counter-notifications.
We are committed to preventing the misuse of the DMCA process on our platform. If we determine that a DMCA Notice has been submitted in bad faith or contains materially false statements, we may take appropriate action, including refusing to process the notice, restoring removed content, and reporting the misuse to relevant authorities. Similarly, if we determine that a counter-notification has been submitted in bad faith, we may refuse to process it and may take additional action as appropriate.
Examples of bad faith use of the DMCA process may include, but are not limited to: submitting a DMCA Notice for content that is clearly within the scope of fair use; submitting a DMCA Notice for content that the complaining party does not own or control; submitting a DMCA Notice for the purpose of censoring speech or suppressing competition; submitting a counter-notification for content that the user knows is infringing; and submitting repeated false or misleading notices or counter-notifications.
We encourage all parties to seek legal advice before engaging in the DMCA process and to act with honesty and integrity at all times. The DMCA process is designed to balance the rights of copyright owners with the rights of users, and it functions effectively only when all parties participate in good faith. Abuse of the process harms everyone involved and undermines the credibility and effectiveness of the DMCA as a tool for protecting intellectual property rights.
8. AI-Generated Content and Copyright
AI Video Chat provides AI-powered video chat services that may involve the generation of content through artificial intelligence systems. The copyright status of AI-generated content is an evolving area of law that raises unique and complex questions about ownership, authorship, and infringement. This section addresses how our DMCA policy applies to AI-generated content on our Service.
Under current United States copyright law, copyright protection is generally available only for works created by human authors. The U.S. Copyright Office has consistently maintained that it will not register works that are produced entirely by machines or automated processes without creative input from a human author. However, the law in this area continues to evolve, and courts and legislative bodies around the world are actively considering how to address the copyright status of AI-generated works.
When our AI systems generate content in response to user inputs and interactions, the resulting output may incorporate elements from the AI’s training data, user-provided prompts and inputs, and the AI system’s own generative processes. The copyright implications of such outputs depend on a variety of factors, including the degree of human creative input, the nature and extent of any copyrighted material incorporated into the output, and the applicable legal standards in the relevant jurisdiction.
If you believe that AI-generated content on our Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA Notice following the procedures described in this policy. We will evaluate such claims on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the specific circumstances of each case, including the nature of the allegedly infringing content, the degree of similarity between the AI output and the copyrighted work, and any applicable legal defenses such as fair use, de minimis use, or independent creation.
We acknowledge that AI-generated content may sometimes resemble existing copyrighted works due to the nature of machine learning and the training data used to develop AI models. However, mere similarity between AI-generated content and an existing work does not necessarily constitute copyright infringement. Infringement requires proof that the allegedly infringing material was copied from the copyrighted work, either directly or indirectly, and that the copying amounts to an unlawful appropriation of the original work.
AI Video Chat is committed to working with copyright owners, AI researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop best practices for addressing copyright issues related to AI-generated content. We monitor developments in this area of law closely and will update our policies and procedures as the legal landscape evolves. We encourage users and copyright owners to contact us with any questions or concerns about the copyright status of AI-generated content on our Service.
Users of our Service should be aware that content they create using our AI tools may be subject to copyright claims by third parties if the AI-generated output incorporates protected elements of existing copyrighted works. While we take reasonable measures to minimize the risk of such claims, we cannot guarantee that AI-generated content will be free from all potential copyright issues. Users are responsible for evaluating the copyright implications of AI-generated content before using it for purposes that may implicate the rights of third parties.
9. Limitations of DMCA
While the DMCA provides an important framework for addressing online copyright infringement, it is subject to certain limitations that users and copyright owners should be aware of. Understanding these limitations is essential for all parties who may be involved in the DMCA process on our Service at ai-videochat.video.
First, the DMCA applies primarily to copyright infringement and does not cover other forms of intellectual property infringement, such as trademark infringement, patent infringement, or trade secret misappropriation. If you believe that your non-copyright intellectual property rights have been infringed on our Service, you should contact us directly at support@ai-videochat.video to discuss your concerns and explore available remedies outside the DMCA process.
Second, the DMCA is a United States federal law and may not be directly applicable in all jurisdictions where our Service is available. While we will make reasonable efforts to respond to copyright infringement claims from rights holders in any jurisdiction, the specific procedures and protections described in this policy are based on the requirements of the DMCA. Users and copyright owners in other jurisdictions may have additional or different rights and remedies under their local laws.
Third, the DMCA does not require service providers to monitor their platforms for infringing content. While we employ content identification technology and other tools to detect potential infringement, we are not obligated to proactively search for or remove infringing material in the absence of a valid DMCA Notice. The DMCA places the primary responsibility for identifying and reporting infringement on copyright owners and their authorized agents.
Fourth, the DMCA’s safe harbor provisions protect service providers from monetary liability for the infringing activities of their users only if certain conditions are met. These conditions include designating a DMCA agent, adopting and reasonably implementing a repeat infringer policy, accommodating standard technical measures, and responding expeditiously to valid DMCA Notices. AI Video Chat takes steps to comply with all of these conditions, but our compliance does not constitute a guarantee of immunity from all copyright-related liability.
Fifth, the DMCA process is not a substitute for litigation. If a copyright dispute cannot be resolved through the notice-and-takedown process, the parties may need to resort to the courts to obtain a final resolution. AI Video Chat is not responsible for resolving disputes between copyright owners and users beyond implementing the procedures described in this policy. We encourage parties to seek legal counsel and to consider alternative dispute resolution mechanisms when appropriate.
10. Designated DMCA Agent
In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2), AI Video Chat has designated a DMCA agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement. All DMCA Notices and counter-notifications should be submitted to our designated agent using the contact information provided below. Submitting a notice to any other contact address or individual at AI Video Chat may result in delayed processing of your claim.
Our designated DMCA agent’s contact information is as follows: Designated Agent: DMCA Agent, AI Video Chat. Email: support@ai-videochat.video. Address: AI Video Chat, DMCA Department. Please include “DMCA Notice” or “DMCA Counter-Notification” in the subject line of your email to ensure that your communication is routed to the appropriate team for processing.
We have registered our designated DMCA agent with the United States Copyright Office in accordance with the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2). Registration with the Copyright Office is a prerequisite for eligibility for the safe harbor protections provided by the DMCA. Our registration is current and up to date, and we will update our registration information as necessary to reflect any changes in our designated agent or contact information.
Our designated DMCA agent is responsible for receiving and processing all DMCA-related communications on behalf of AI Video Chat. This includes DMCA Notices, counter-notifications, and any other correspondence related to copyright infringement claims on our Service. Our agent works closely with our legal and trust and safety teams to ensure that all claims are handled promptly, fairly, and in accordance with applicable law.
We strive to acknowledge receipt of all DMCA Notices and counter-notifications within two (2) business days. Processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the claim and the completeness of the information provided. We will keep you informed of the status of your claim and will notify you when action has been taken. If you have not received an acknowledgment within five (5) business days of submitting your notice, please contact us at support@ai-videochat.video to inquire about the status of your submission.
Please be aware that communications sent to our designated DMCA agent may be shared with the party whose content is the subject of the notice or counter-notification. This is a requirement of the DMCA process and is necessary to ensure that all parties have an opportunity to respond to claims affecting their content or intellectual property rights. We will handle all communications in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.
11. Safe Harbor Provisions
The DMCA establishes safe harbor protections for online service providers that meet certain statutory requirements. These safe harbor provisions, codified in 17 U.S.C. § 512, protect qualifying service providers from monetary liability for copyright infringement committed by their users. AI Video Chat has taken steps to qualify for these protections and maintains this DMCA Policy as part of our compliance efforts.
To qualify for the safe harbor protections, a service provider must, among other things: (a) designate an agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement and register that agent with the U.S. Copyright Office; (b) adopt and reasonably implement a policy that provides for the termination, in appropriate circumstances, of subscribers and account holders who are repeat infringers; (c) accommodate and not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works; and (d) upon receiving a valid notification of claimed infringement, respond expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
AI Video Chat has designated a DMCA agent and registered that agent with the U.S. Copyright Office as described in Section 10 of this policy. We have adopted a repeat infringer policy as described in Section 6 of this policy. We accommodate standard technical measures used by copyright owners, including content identification technologies and digital watermarking systems. And we respond expeditiously to valid DMCA Notices as described in Sections 3 and 4 of this policy.
The safe harbor provisions are divided into four categories based on the type of activity performed by the service provider: (a) transitory digital network communications (§ 512(a)); (b) system caching (§ 512(b)); (c) information residing on systems or networks at the direction of users (§ 512(c)); and (d) information location tools (§ 512(d)). AI Video Chat’s activities may fall within one or more of these categories, and we seek to comply with the applicable requirements for each.
It is important to note that the safe harbor provisions protect service providers from monetary liability only. They do not protect service providers from injunctive relief, such as court orders requiring the removal of infringing material or the termination of user accounts. Additionally, the safe harbor provisions do not apply to service providers that have actual knowledge of infringing activity, are aware of facts or circumstances from which infringing activity is apparent, or upon obtaining such knowledge or awareness, fail to act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the infringing material.
AI Video Chat is committed to maintaining its eligibility for the DMCA safe harbor protections. We regularly review and update our policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512. We also train our employees and contractors on the requirements of the DMCA and the importance of responding promptly and appropriately to notifications of claimed infringement. Our commitment to the DMCA process is an integral part of our broader commitment to legal compliance and the protection of intellectual property rights.
12. Modifications to This Policy
AI Video Chat reserves the right to modify, update, or amend this DMCA Policy at any time and for any reason, in our sole discretion. When we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice of the changes through our Service or via email to registered users. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed of any updates.
Changes to this policy will become effective immediately upon posting, unless otherwise specified. Your continued use of our Service after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with any changes to this policy, you should discontinue your use of our Service. However, any DMCA Notices or counter-notifications that were submitted before the effective date of a change will be processed under the version of the policy that was in effect at the time of submission.
We may modify this policy for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: changes in applicable laws or regulations; court decisions that affect the interpretation or application of the DMCA; changes in our business practices or the nature of our Service; technological developments that affect how we detect or respond to copyright infringement; and feedback from users, copyright owners, or other stakeholders about our DMCA procedures.
In the event of a significant change to this policy, we will make the previous version of the policy available upon request. We maintain an archive of all prior versions of this policy for a period of at least three (3) years from the date they were superseded. You may request a copy of a prior version by contacting us at support@ai-videochat.video with the subject line “DMCA Policy Archive Request.”
We welcome feedback from users, copyright owners, and other interested parties about this DMCA Policy and our copyright enforcement practices. If you have suggestions for improving our policy or procedures, please contact us at support@ai-videochat.video. We will consider all feedback carefully and will incorporate changes that improve the effectiveness and fairness of our DMCA compliance program.
Nothing in this policy is intended to modify or limit any rights or remedies available to copyright owners or users under applicable law. This policy describes the procedures we follow in response to DMCA Notices and counter-notifications, but it does not create any additional rights or obligations beyond those established by the DMCA and other applicable laws. All references to legal requirements in this policy are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice.
